About Melissa
Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Associate who works with adults, young adults, couples, and parents navigating emotional, relational, and family challenges. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and provides counseling to clients throughout Georgia through both in-person and telehealth sessions.
She believes therapy should be a place where clients can be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of judgment. Her approach is warm, empathetic, collaborative, and practical, creating a supportive environment where clients can slow down, feel heard, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
Whether a client is struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, or parenting challenges, Melissa works alongside them to identify patterns, develop practical tools, and create meaningful and lasting change.

A Collaborative Approach to Therapy
Melissa believes that therapy is not about being told what to do. Instead, it is a collaborative process where clients can better understand what is happening beneath the surface and develop tools that fit their lives and relationships.
With couples and parents, she helps clients look beyond the immediate conflict to understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This may include exploring communication habits, emotional needs, expectations, boundaries, trust, and how each person responds in moments of stress or conflict.
For individual clients, she works to create space for greater self-awareness while also offering practical strategies that clients can use outside of the therapy room. Her goal is to help clients not only understand their challenges, but also feel more equipped to navigate them.
What Clients Can Expect
Clients working with Melissa can expect a therapist who is:
• Warm and empathetic, creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard
•Nonjudgmental and accepting, allowing clients to talk openly about difficult experiences
•Collaborative, working with clients rather than simply telling them what they should do
•Practical and supportive, helping translate insight into meaningful changes in everyday life
•Attentive to the whole person, recognizing that emotional struggles often affect relationships, family life, work, and daily functioning
•Respectful of each client’s individual pace, recognizing that meaningful change takes time
Melissa strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients can feel safe, understood, and supported as they work through difficult seasons and move toward healthier relationships with themselves and the people they care about.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, therapy can be a space to pause, gain perspective, and begin creating something different.
