About Kiera

Kiera Fox provides warm, collaborative, and individualized therapy for teens 16+, young adults, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, ADHD, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, depression, emotional overwhelm, intimacy concerns, and major life transitions.

Kiera earned her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Brenau University and has a particular passion for helping young adults and couples better understand the patterns affecting their relationships, emotions, and everyday lives.

Kiera believes therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood while also having the space to better understand yourself. Her approach is warm, approachable, and nonjudgmental, creating a space where clients can talk openly about relationships, identity, emotions, sexuality, difficult experiences, and the patterns they may feel stuck repeating.

Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Kiera tailors therapy to each person's individual needs, personality, experiences, and goals. She combines emotional insight with practical strategies so clients can not only understand why certain patterns exist, but begin making meaningful changes in their everyday lives.

Therapy for Young Adults

Young adulthood can bring an enormous amount of change at once. Relationships become more complicated, expectations increase, independence takes on new meaning, and questions about career, identity, sexuality, friendships, and the future can become difficult to navigate.

Kiera has a particular interest in providing therapy for young adults navigating this stage of life.

She helps young adults explore concerns such as:

  • Anxiety about the future

  • ADHD and executive functioning challenges

  • Dating and relationship patterns

  • Identity and self-esteem

  • Independence and adulthood

  • Family and peer relationships

  • Sexuality and intimacy

  • Boundaries and communication

  • Perfectionism and self-criticism

  • Life transitions and uncertainty

Therapy with Kiera provides a place to better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways of navigating relationships and adulthood.

ADHD & Neurodivergence

Living with ADHD can affect far more than concentration.

It can influence emotional regulation, relationships, motivation, self-esteem, organization, communication, and the way someone sees themselves after years of feeling like they should simply be able to “try harder.”

Kiera works with clients experiencing ADHD and neurodivergence from a supportive and individualized perspective. Therapy may focus on understanding ADHD-related patterns, strengthening coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, navigating relationships, and developing approaches that work with the client's individual needs rather than against them.

The goal isn't to force yourself into someone else's definition of how you should function. It's to better understand your brain, your patterns, and what helps you function and feel your best.

Relationship, Attachment & Intimacy Therapy

Sometimes the same relationship patterns seem to repeat even when we desperately want something different.

You may find yourself overthinking relationships, fearing rejection, struggling to trust, avoiding vulnerability, having difficulty setting boundaries, or wondering why the same conflicts keep appearing.

Kiera helps clients explore the connection between attachment, past experiences, emotions, behaviors, and present-day relationships.

Therapy can help you recognize recurring patterns, understand where they may have developed, strengthen communication and boundaries, and begin creating healthier and more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.

Kiera also provides a nonjudgmental space for clients who want to explore sexual health, sexuality, intimacy, and connection as part of their overall emotional and relational well-being.

Couples Therapy

Kiera works with couples who want to strengthen their relationship, better understand one another, and change patterns that are creating distance or conflict.

Couples may seek therapy for concerns involving:

  • Communication difficulties

  • Recurring arguments or conflict

  • Emotional disconnection

  • Intimacy concerns

  • Relationship anxiety

  • Attachment patterns

  • Premarital concerns

  • Major life transitions

  • Difficulty expressing needs

  • Rebuilding connection

Rather than focusing solely on the conflict itself, Kiera helps couples become more aware of the emotional and relational patterns underneath it.

The goal is to help partners communicate more effectively, increase understanding, strengthen connection, and build healthier ways of responding to one another.

Therapeutic Approach

Kiera uses an integrative approach to counseling, meaning therapy is adapted to the individual rather than expecting every client to fit within one therapeutic model.

Her work primarily incorporates:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)CBT can help clients recognize connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while learning to challenge patterns that may contribute to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relationship difficulties.

Attachment-Based TherapyAttachment-focused work can help clients better understand how early and significant relationships may influence present-day expectations, fears, behaviors, intimacy, and relationship patterns.

Reality TherapyReality Therapy helps clients explore choices within their control and identify behaviors that better support their needs, relationships, and goals.

Person-Centered TherapyKiera believes the therapeutic relationship itself matters. She provides a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment where clients are respected as individuals and encouraged to explore their experiences authentically.

Depending on the client's needs, therapy may involve identifying emotional and behavioral patterns, exploring past experiences, challenging unhelpful thoughts, strengthening coping and emotional regulation skills, improving communication, and developing healthier ways of approaching relationships and everyday challenges.

What Clients Can Expect

Clients working with Kiera can expect a therapist who is warm, approachable, collaborative, and genuinely interested in understanding the person behind the symptoms.

Kiera recognizes that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Therapy is a place to ask questions, talk honestly, explore difficult experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and begin making changes at a pace that feels manageable.

Kiera's goal is to help clients develop greater self-understanding while also leaving therapy with practical tools they can use outside of the therapy room.

Whether you're struggling with ADHD, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, intimacy, depression, or a major life transition, you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
