Amber Way, MA, APC, NCC

Amber received her BA in Psychology from Columbia College in 2021 and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty in 2023. Over the last 15 years, she has worked closely with youth/adults of vulnerable populations in the non-profit sector. She specializes in trauma-informed care and utilizes integrated theoretical approaches based on client needs. Foundationally, she works from Adlerian theory to gain insight into the client’s lifestyle, social interests, family dynamics, and past experiences. This approach emphasizes collaboration, insight building, self-awareness, and encouragement to empower clients to live more purposeful and socially connected lives. She is committed to helping clients achieve mental wellness and personal growth through genuine dialogue in a collaborative therapeutic alliance. 

Amber's clinical focus is working with adults navigating relational trauma, life transitions, and parenting support. She is currently licensed as an APC in the state of Georgia and is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Susanne Thurber, Ph.D, LPC, CPCS. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Licensed Professional Counselors Association, Association for Creativity in Counseling, and the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology; and is credentialed as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
