About Alison
Life doesn't always unfold the way we imagined. Whether you're navigating a painful divorce, struggling in your relationship, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, or trying to rediscover yourself during a major life transition, you don't have to face it alone.
I believe healing happens in relationships where people feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. My goal is to create a calm, compassionate space where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin creating meaningful change.
I work with older teenagers (ages 16+), adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I also have a special passion for supporting women navigating divorce, separation, and rebuilding life after the end of a relationship.
Divorce can bring grief, uncertainty, loneliness, and questions about identity. Together, we'll process the emotions that come with this transition while helping you rebuild confidence, establish healthy boundaries, strengthen your sense of self, and create a future that feels hopeful and authentic.
For couples, I provide a supportive environment to improve communication, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, and navigate conflict in healthier ways.
No matter where you are in your journey, therapy is a place where you don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

Therapeutic Approach
Every person has a unique story, which is why I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Narrative Therapy
I also incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, grounding exercises, and nervous system regulation techniques to help clients feel more connected to both their minds and bodies. As a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance, I value the powerful connection between emotional wellness and physical well-being, helping clients develop practical tools they can use outside of therapy.

I enjoy helping clients who are:
Women adjusting to divorce or separation
Individuals experiencing anxiety or chronic stress
Couples wanting to strengthen their relationship
Adults navigating major life transitions
Young adults finding their direction

Education & Experience
I earned my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine and bring more than 20 years of experience as an educator. My background has given me a deep appreciation for how people learn, grow, adapt, and build resilience throughout every stage of life.
What It's Like to Work Together
Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and calming. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative partnership where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Whether we're working through anxiety, healing after divorce, improving your relationship, or navigating a significant life change, I'll meet you with compassion while gently helping you move toward lasting growth.
Together, we'll identify patterns that no longer serve you, strengthen your emotional resilience, and build practical tools that help you feel more connected, confident, and hopeful.
