In our present lives, due to high levels of stress. So many individuals of every age are suffering
with their mental health. Our mental health is a vital part in living a quality life. The first step is
always the most difficult in anything we do, especially when it comes to letting others know we
need help. The first step towards positive, mental health involves the realization, that we may
need another person to come along side of us, to assist in leading the way forward.
Tammy utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT, in children and adolescents),
Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) & Psychodynamic Theory for Trauma/PTSD (in adults).
Tammy is Gottman Level 1 certified to work with couples and families, also using Internal
Families Systems Theory (IFS). She utilizes Solution Focused Based Therapy (SFBT),
Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Relaxation
Technique to assist the Neurodivergent Community (ADHD mixed type, hyperactive, inattentive;
and Autism in children, adolescents & adults).
Tammy has her Master of Art degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Bachelor
of Science in Psychology from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Associate, practicing in Washington State. She is currently employed at a Clinical–Private
Practice, Reflections Counseling & Coaching. She has successfully passed the National Clinical
Mental Health Counselors Exam. Tammy has 10 year’s experience working in the mental health
field. She is dual certified in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy & Mindfulness, TF-CBT, Changing
the ADHD brain, and Gottman Level 1 for couples counseling: Interventions used in therapy to
treat Adjustment Disorders, Trauma, General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Agoraphobia, Bipolar Disorder, Post-
Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Dissociative Disorder,
Depersonalization/Derealization/Guilt/Shame, and couples counseling.
A strong therapeutic relationship between therapist and patient is essential for achieving positive
change in mental health, as difficult as it may be, it is up to you to make the first step. I am here
to meet you where you are, offer a safe space for support and encouragement for you to reach
your goals, and to live the life you were meant to live. Population
