Kimberly Golden, LMSW
I help teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges so they can feel more connected, confident, and at peace in their lives and relationships.
Life can feel like a lot sometimes. Maybe you’re juggling too many responsibilities, struggling to communicate with someone you care about, or feeling anxious, stuck, or disconnected. You might be trying to hold everything together while inside it feels like things are falling apart. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and families who want to feel more grounded, connected, and at ease in their relationships and within themselves. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, working through anxiety, depression, or ADHD, managing the stress of perfectionism, or trying to repair communication in your marriage or family, therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what’s really happening beneath the surface, and learn how to create meaningful change.
I also support clients dealing with grief, parenting challenges, career transitions, social skills and effectiveness, and those seeking guidance in building self-esteem or emotional balance. My work is LGBTQIA+ affirming, inclusive, and strengths-based — honoring your story, your values, and your goals for growth.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership — one built on trust, compassion, and curiosity. I tailor sessions to meet your unique needs; sometimes that means exploring the “why” behind patterns that keep you stuck, and other times it’s about learning specific tools to manage emotions, strengthen communication, or rebuild connection.
I draw from several evidence-based and holistic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), The Gottman Method, Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness. This combination allows us to address both the emotional and practical sides of healing — helping you build self-awareness, improve regulation, and deepen your capacity for calm and connection.
Whether we’re strengthening relationship dynamics, navigating anxiety, or working through loss or trauma, my goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make lasting, meaningful change.
