About Danielle

Danielle Ellis is a counselor with Reflections Counseling & Coaching who provides compassionate, client-centered therapy for individuals navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges. Danielle has worked in the mental health field since 2018, after earning her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University.

Danielle believes the foundation of effective therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship. She is intentional about creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space, especially for clients who may feel nervous or unsure about starting therapy.

Eating Disorder–Informed & Trauma-Aware Care

Danielle works with individuals struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating, approaching this work with sensitivity, care, and a trauma-informed lens. She focuses on helping clients better understand the emotional, relational, and behavioral patterns connected to food, body image, and self-worth, while supporting sustainable coping strategies and self-compassion.


Therapeutic Approach

Danielle uses an integrative, strengths-based approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. Her work incorporates:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance

  • Narrative Therapy to explore and reframe personal stories

  • Strengths-Based Therapy to support empowerment and resilience

Danielle values authenticity and collaboration and encourages personal growth through insight, curiosity, and practical skill-building.


Nature-Informed & Holistic Support

With a love for the outdoors, Danielle is open to incorporating nature-informed and grounding elements into sessions when appropriate, supporting emotional regulation and overall well-being.
