About Trish

Trish Bellante is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through complex emotional and relational challenges. She began her clinical career working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness through the County of San Diego, where she developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed and systems-based care.

Now in private practice, Trish provides thoughtful, individualized therapy grounded in compassion, clinical depth, and evidence-based practice. Her work emphasizes emotional safety, resilience, and meaningful, sustainable change.

Areas of Clinical Focus

Trish specializes in working with:

  • Couples seeking to strengthen communication, trust, and emotional connection

  • Women navigating life transitions, identity shifts, and role changes

  • Military members, veterans, and first responders, including their families

  • Individuals processing trauma and PTSD

  • Clients seeking structured, evidence-based trauma and relationship therapy

Her approach is attuned to the unique demands placed on high-responsibility roles and life stages.

Therapeutic Approach & Training

Trish integrates advanced, evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s needs, including:

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD and trauma recovery

  • Brainspotting to support nervous system regulation and trauma processing

  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 3) through The Gottman Institute

These approaches allow Trish to support both individual healing and relational growth with depth, structure, and clinical precision.

What Clients Can Expect

Clients who work with Trish experience a therapist who is:

  • Grounded, compassionate, and highly experienced

  • Direct yet deeply supportive

  • Trauma-informed and relationally focused

  • Committed to ethical, high-quality clinical care

Trish believes therapy works best when clients feel understood, empowered, and supported in making meaningful change.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of clinical work, Trish values time with her family and staying active outdoors. She is a proud mother to a U.S. Marine Veteran and a college student, and she shares her home with five beloved pets. Trish enjoys running half marathons and spending time in nature, which she views as essential to balance and well-being.
